Creating A Peaceful Home
Have you ever noticed upon entering a person’s home how it feels? What does the energy in this space say about the people who inhabit it? Would you like to spend time there in a calm and peaceful vibration? Is this a goal that you should consider for yourself and for those who share your space?
Interesting questions about an important environment that you occupy most of your time. We are all aware that our surroundings can certainly affect our moods and productivity. You can actually have your energy drained by observing messy signs of chaos everywhere you look. This is the point at which you need to walk around your home and take a real honest appraisal of what must stay, needs to be thrown out, could be passed on to family or friends, and then finally donated to reputable charities.
First of all, I would recommend offering usable and decorative items to family and friends. Those things that are left can be donated to charities of your choice. I find it very difficult to throw something away that can still be of use to someone else! And it feels so good to contribute to your community by donating to those in need! Certainly, garage sales can also offer another option. However, any items left unsold should not return inside your home. They now should be picked up by a charity curb-side.
How is the emotional atmosphere in your home? Are your family members being disruptive, argumentive, and disrespectful? Are your animals showing signs of stress? Believe me, our pets are great indicators of what is happening in our home! Gather support from your family to raise awareness of what is internally going on within the family dynamic. This can be very indicative of a lack of awareness and unresolved stress!
By putting forth a conscientious effort on your part to make these liberating life-style changes, you become self-empowered within your environment and not drained by it! Everyone who enters your home will now be met with a new sense of calm and peace. Something you and your family will also really appreciate!
